This is no ordinary geocaching trading item!

Gizmo's Traveling Bug is a Travel Bug Dog Tag Travel Bug, traveling from geocache to geocache on a very specific mission.

Trackable Item If you do not intend to log your visit on the Geocaching.com web site, please DO NOT TAKE THIS ITEM. Its travels and its progress requires you to log that it is being taken from this geocache. You will also need to log when you place it in another geocache. It's easy!

Hello, my name is Gizmo the trackable dog.

I was rescued from a very remote community in one of the most northern parts of Canada. Winters are very harsh and food is scarce but every day mean people still abandon us and leave us out in the cold to survive on our own. Eventhough they try very hard and never give up, the SPCA volunteers can't always save us all. I am one of the lucky ones and every day I thank the NWT SPCA for giving me a warm place to stay until I found my furever home.

My little travel bug has a mission to help. Its goal is to visit as many caches in as many states and provinces all over North America as possible, in honor of all of those four leged friends who didn't make it. If you take my travel bug with you, please donate at least $5 if you can, to the NWT SPCA link below and place me in a new active cache. Together if we only help save one, we've still made a difference.
