This is no ordinary geocaching trading item!
Dylan's Flat Stanley Travel Bug is a Travel Bug Dog Tag Travel Bug, traveling from geocache to geocache on a very specific mission.
If you do not intend to log your visit on the Geocaching.com web site, please DO NOT TAKE THIS ITEM. Its travels and its progress requires you to log that it is being taken from this geocache. You will also need to log when you place it in another geocache. It's easy!
If you are willing to log your part of this Trackable's journey and place it in another geocache as soon as possible (after you log your find), grab it from this geocache.
My Current Goal:
After we read the novel, “Flat Stanley”, written by Jeff Brown (in 1964), each student, in this year’s Grade 2 class, created their own Flat Stanley to travel the world.
In the story “Flat Stanley”, Stanley Lambchop and his younger brother Arthur are given a big bulletin board, by their father, to display pictures and posters. Their father hangs it on the wall over Stanley's bed. During the night the board falls from the wall, flattening Stanley in his sleep. He survives and makes the best of his altered (flat) state, and soon he is entering locked rooms by sliding under the door, and playing with his younger brother by being used as a kite. One special advantage is that Flat Stanley can now visit his friends around the world, by being mailed in an envelope.
