This is no ordinary geocaching trading item!

Coast to Coast Gator is a Travel Bug Dog Tag Travel Bug, traveling from geocache to geocache on a very specific mission.

Trackable ItemIf you do not intend to log your visit on the Geocaching.com web site, please DO NOT TAKE THIS ITEM. Its travels and its progress requires you to log that it is being taken from this geocache. You will also need to log when you place it in another geocache. It's easy!

If you are willing to log your part of this Trackable's journey and place it in another geocache as soon as possible (after you log your find), grab it from this geocache.

My Current Goal:

THIS TRAVELBUG HAS TRAVEL NEARLY 35,000 IN THE 7 YEARS SINCE ITS RELEASE.  ITS OWNER LIVES IN SARASOTA COUNTY, FLORIDA.  I WOULD LOVE FOR SOMEBODY TO BRING IT OVER TO THE SARASOTA/TAMPA AREA SO I CAN SEE HOW ITS HOLDING UP AFTER ALL THOSE MILES.

Coast to Coast Gator was released at a cache on the Olympic Peninsula Pacific Coast in Washington in 2007. There was only one cache farther to the west and north that he could have been released at & still be in the lower 48. His goal is to go Coast to Coast in the Lower 48 states. This bug has spent one winter in the snow in Minnesota and nearly a year lost in the weeds in Canada.  The end of this journey is to the southeast.  Key West, FL the southern most point in the US is the logical end destination.  Help keep the gator moving.  Thanks.
