This is no ordinary geocaching trading item!

Amerikana 4 is a Travel Bug Dog Tag Travel Bug, traveling from geocache to geocache on a very specific mission.

If you do not intend to log your visit on the Geocaching.com web site, please DO NOT TAKE THIS ITEM. Its travels and its progress requires you to log that it is being taken from this geocache. You will also need to log when you place it in another geocache. It's easy!

If you are willing to log your part of this Trackable's journey and place it in another geocache as soon as possible (after you log your find), grab it from this geocache.

My Current Goal:

This trackable is Amerikana 4 in a series of 4 and has particular significance to those familiar with the music of Thomas Dolby. Its goal is to travel as far and wide as possible. Anything goes! However, please do not remove it from a cache if you will not place it in another within a couple of days. Please log your placement promptly. If you take this trackable somewhere interesting a photo would be appreciated. If you are a member of Thomas's on-line community (The Flat Earth Society) you should take a photo of yourself with it and attach it to this page. This will be especially interesting for the first to find who is also a member of The Flat Earth Society. There may possibly be some advantage attached to that action...
