This is no ordinary geocaching trading item!

Aann's Chester's Gecko is a Geico Travel Tag Travel Bug, traveling from geocache to geocache on a very specific mission.

Trackable ItemIf you do not intend to log your visit on the Geocaching.com web site, please DO NOT TAKE THIS ITEM. Its travels and its progress requires you to log that it is being taken from this geocache. You will also need to log when you place it in another geocache. It's easy!

If you are willing to log your part of this Trackable's journey and place it in another geocache as soon as possible (after you log your find), grab it from this geocache.

My Current Goal:

FINAL UPDATE: 09/24/18 - Chester the Dog was allowed to move on to a more peaceful and comfortable place with me holding his paw, cradling his head and speaking softly to him. I'll miss him forever.

Just to be discovered for now. A blue sequined notebook is attached to his tag if you want to sign the book!
UPDATE 11-11-11   To commemorate several things, list below, I am releasing this tb and renaming it to Chester's Gecko.
Chester (the dog) is my foster failure. I rescued him through Tucson Cold Wet Noses back in about 2009 when one of my other dogs was on the verge of death. Within 24 hours, I ended up adopting him instead of fostering and adopting him out to someone else. Chester has since lost his other best pal to cancer and is the only dog in the house now. He lives with 2 cats, a box turtle and a chicken. But he has helped me foster 10 other dogs and cats over the past two years. He is my best man, my pal, my side kick. He has been on the road with me for the last week, traveling up and down Arizona and Nevada, staying at motels, empty homes of relatives, car camping and tent camping. He is awesome. Yesterday we did 80 some ET highway caches and he was a gem. He has encountered new people, strange situations, different rooms, infrequent meals, water out of several different types of vessels, and all sorts of desert environs, including frozen ponds and snow. Today is 11-11-11 and we are off to Rachel, Nevada to the Little A'le'Inn for a celebration of that date. I am releasing 'his' Geico Gecko to continue to travel. There is a little notebook attached, so please sign in for Chester and I. The photo I have is terrible cuz I broke my camera on this trip, so feel free to add a new one, or two, or three. Travel on, for Chester and 11-11-11!!!

Update 1/24/2013  I am glad to see this bug back on the road and my condolences to the family of the cacher who passed away while holding my tb. I can't wait to see where this one goes. Chester the dog is still going strong. He traveled all over the western USA last year with me and our Epic trip consisted of a 38 day, 6500 mile, 12 state road trip. He has been to 14 states all together so far. All the cachers in Tucson know him as he attends the events, cito's and campouts with me. Last year alone, he accompanied me to over 1900 caches. I enjoy him to no end and can't wait to see where his bug goes. Thank you for the help!

UPDATE 6/29/13 - Chester's Gecko was picked up by cheektowagabz in New York who was just getting ready to head to Tucson for a vacation! What are the odds!! After a couple emails, it was agreed that he would bring the bug back to Tucson for me to pick up to reunite it with Chester! Thank you soooo much cheektowagabz! The bug is now retired and will visit events with Chester the dog and I!! Thank you to cheektowagabz  for the awesome patch from New York. It will be attached to the tag as well. Chester says WOOOOF!!!
