This is no ordinary geocaching trading item!

College Road Trip is a Travel Bug Dog Tag Travel Bug, traveling from geocache to geocache on a very specific mission.

If you do not intend to log your visit on the Geocaching.com web site, please DO NOT TAKE THIS ITEM. Its travels and its progress requires you to log that it is being taken from this geocache. You will also need to log when you place it in another geocache. It's easy!

If you are willing to log your part of this Trackable's journey and place it in another geocache as soon as possible (after you log your find), grab it from this geocache.

My Current Goal:

We drove to Maine from New Jersey with our 17 year old daughter to check out some colleges.   Although the school year has pretty much just begun, before you know it, the Class of 2013 will be graduating from high school and heading off into the world.  Where will she end up going to college?  (Where will this travel bug end up in September 2013?) 

We began this journey at the University of Maine by visiting a couple of caches, one being an earth cache.  Although the purpose of our trip is to go see colleges, the purpose of this bug is just to travel!  If it should happen to find its way back to New Jersey, there are two college campus caches that we didn’t have to time to visit (yet).  They are:

GCQ9KT FDU Metro Cam on the grounds of Fairleigh Dickinson University

Now it’s time to send my firstborn travel bug out into the geo-world; next September I’ll send my firstborn child into the college-world.   Let the adventure begin!
