This is no ordinary geocaching trading item!

Alaska the 49th State Trackable is a GeocacheAlaska! Travelers Travel Bug, traveling from geocache to geocache on a very specific mission.

If you do not intend to log your visit on the Geocaching.com web site, please DO NOT TAKE THIS ITEM. Its travels and its progress requires you to log that it is being taken from this geocache. You will also need to log when you place it in another geocache. It's easy!

My Current Goal:

Before Alaska became the 49th state it was a territory of the United States. 1/2 of 2 jolly lived in Alaska from 1956 - 1959. She had many memories of Alaska including the celebrations when Alaska became the 49th state.

In the summer of 2013, team 2 jolly took a week long trip to Alaska. They visited glaciers, hiked to the top of Flat Top which overlooks Anchorage, visited the Russian Orthodox Church and saw how they buried their dead, rode the Alaska RR, viewed glaciers, and of course geocached. We attended an event and won this geocoin.

This coin is very special to us and it is a memory of our vacation in Alaska.
