My Current Goal:
In loving memory of Maggie who lost her 2 yr battle with breast cancer on 2-17-07. She will be forever in our hearts. We'll miss your laughter. Every 2 min. a woman is diagnosed with breast cancer. From 1 to age 39, the odds are 1 in 231; 40–59, 1 in 25; 60–79, it's 1 in 15. The odds of getting breast cancer during a lifetime, assuming a max age of 90, is 1 in 7. Breast cancer is the leading killer of women between 40 and 55. While the % of men diagnosed with breast cancer is small, men are also affected & should also give themselves monthly exams. Will your loved one be next? You are less likely to receive a speeding ticket than being diagnosed with breast cancer. When breast cancer is found early, the 5 yr survival rate is 96%. This is good news! Over 2 million breast cancer survivors are alive in America today. Check yourself or encourage others to do so. Let's eradicate this terrible disease.
