This is no ordinary geocaching trading item!
Backpacker Chas is a The Backpacker Geocoin Travel Bug, traveling from geocache to geocache on a very specific mission.
If you do not intend to log your visit on the Geocaching.com web site, please DO NOT TAKE THIS ITEM. Its travels and its progress requires you to log that it is being taken from this geocache. You will also need to log when you place it in another geocache. It's easy!
If you are willing to log your part of this Trackable's journey and place it in another geocache as soon as possible (after you log your find), grab it from this geocache.
My Current Goal:
In the beginning - there were nine of us - as a group we decided to climb the highest peaks in each of South Africa's nine provinces.
Can you help me achieve my objective ? - I would like to climb the following peaks:
- KwaZulu-Natal: Mafadi (3451m), south of Mont-aux-Sources
- Free State: Namahadi Peak (3275m)
Eastern Cape: KwaDuma (3019m), on the Lesotho border near Ongeluksnek ( Done )- Mpumalanga: Die Berg (2331m) in the Steenkampsberg
- Western Cape: Seweweekspoort Peak (2325m), near Ladismith
- Northern Cape: Murch Point, (2156m), near Nieu-Bethesda
- Limpopo: Iron Crown (2126m), East of Polokwane near Ebenezer Dam
Gauteng: Toringkop (1913m), South-east of Jo’burg in Suikerbosrand Nature Reserve ( Done )- North-West: Nooitgedacht West (1806m), in the Magaliesberg
I can climb them in any order - when I have completed my mission I would like to return to the Knysna area where I will try and meet up with my eight friends.
