What better way to start off summer than with a marathon geocaching road trip from PDX south to Sutherlin, up the Umpqua to 101 North, ending in Yachats just after 11pm, stopping after nearly 300 miles of driving. 69 finds, 222 D/T stars (2 centuries in a day!), multiple cemeteries, one challenge find, 7 or 8 DeLorme squares and several D/T Matrix out of the way.  This trip had it all:  scratches, tears, rips, yewies, chex mix, chips, guac -- and a dangerously distracting iPhone that was prone to showing us all nearby caches we had to grab on the way to already predetermined targets.
