How Geocaching Works

Geocache Description:

Nice, graded road all the way to the campground. Use Miller Flat road just east of Skyline drive. If you need more directons than that, are you sure you're a geocacher?

Once again, it is time to celebrate another milestone in Utah Geocaching. (Any excuse for a party suits just fine). This event will be held from August 17th to the 19th near the site of Utah's first ever geocache. On August 12th, 2000, Utah's first Geocacher - Leaper64 - placed a five gallon bucket at a spot very near the coordinates of this event, and Geocaching came to Utah. Seven years later, Utah Geocachers from all over the state will return to celebrate the event and enjoy what geocaching has become and meant to all of us. Bring your campers, tents, trailers, and food and spend two days with the nicest bunch of geeks anywhere. RSVP to this page, and the UTAG forums. There will be a potluck dinner on Saturday afternoon, and some games and other activities. Great caching to be done in the area, as well. We always make some great memories (and some not-so-great ones) at Potter's, so come to a beautiful part of our great state and see what makes Utah Geocaching special! There will be games and other friendly competitions for your enjoyment, with prizes and other fun things, courtesy of this year's premiere sponsor, Hope to see you all there!
