This is a 10/10/10 for 10 Event at 8:00 AM!
The 10s are lining up this year!
The "for 10" means many things:
1. Geocaching is 10 years old.
2. The event must have 10 people.
3 We are doing several things that involve 10: Identify 10 birds
and spend 10 minutes enjoying the landscape. Might even pickup a little trash.
4. 10 Geocoins will be distributed by a drawing.
We need 10 people to attend this event.
Dress festive for the picture, we want to be sure we get our photo uploaded so it can be included in the celebratory video for the ceremony designating the Upper Mississippi River Floodplain Wetland of International Importance.
Wetlands are cool and important part of our lives, help join in the international celebration of wetlands. Wetlands work by filtering water providing us clean water to drink, soak up flood waters like a sponge. We can help wetlands by working to protect them.
After the event, join us on our monthly migratory bird walk, with avid birder,Anne Straight as we observe many of the fall migrants as they make their way south for the winter. Bird walk lasts about one and a half hours and is open all birding skill levels.
