Course Descriptions

Geocaching Games: Would you like to learn more about the games within the game of Geocacing? There are many creative games that can add to your enjoyment of Geocaching. Some are social and some solo. John will cover details of numerous games: challenge caches, hide the flag, road rallies, the lonely cache game, the Delorme Challenge, The Amazing Race and many others.

GSAK (Geocaching Swiss Army Knife software): Back by popular demand! GSAK is one of the most popular waypoint managing tools that Geocachers use. Jeremy will start by discussing basics like doing and uploading a pocket query and then show the many ways GSAK can  manipulate waypoints to help you plan your next Geocaching trip. Even if you know something about GSAK you'll want to attend both courses. We will have electrical outlets available for laptops. Before going to these seminars you may want to upload GSAK software from the web to whatever computer you use. Then peruse it and experiment with it before you come so you get the most out of Jeremy's presentations.

Creating Cool Cache Pages: Are you tired of creating plain text only cache pages? Ron and Tim will discuss different ways to add graphics, links and other stuff to your cache pages.

Learn to Teach Geocaching 101: Would you like to be able to do this presentation but you don't know how? Renee will teach you how to present this course to Geocaching novices.

Refreshments

We'll have hot chocolate, coffee, cappuccino and tea donated by Ron and Renee. At our last event, we asked everyone to volunteer to bring a snack to share even though it's not required. As a result, we had a really nice layout of fruit, cookies, donuts, taco salads, juice and some healthier snacks. The first event felt like a relaxing weekend social!

Donations

Please consider a donation to support this event! A donation to attend the event is not required, but will help us pay for the venue. The Parks and Recreation Department of Greenfield was kind enough to allow us to use this building free for our first CE event. Unfortunately, that is not going to happen again.  If we can't cover the cost of the venue we won't be able to do this event again.
