Since 2012, the Texas A&M Forest Service has occupied this office, which is shared with the Fort Stockton Fire Department and the Pecos County Sheriff's Office. This facility houses a task force and support equipment used in wildland firefighting, allowing Texas A&M Forest Service to support, train and protect citizens in a large portion of West Texas and the Trans-Pecos area. This facility also acts as a command post for any type of disaster in the area. Being located near the Pecos County Airport is ideal for utilizing Single Engine Air Tankers (SEATs) for fire suppression.
The Fort Stockton Office is typically open during regular business of 8 am to 5 pm, Monday-Friday. For additional information, visit the office at 180 A Street, Suite C, Fort Stockton, TX 79735 or call (432) 336-7290.
