This cache can be found in Harper Park, which is near the Southworth ferry terminal. The park is open from 9 am until dusk.
The park area was formerly occupied by the Harper Brick & Tile Co.,
which went out of business in the 1930s. At its peak,
the factory was producing up to one million bricks a
month, some of which were used to construct buildings
in Seattle's Pioneer Square, and the governor's mansion
in Olympia. Many of the bricks that were factory rejects
can still be found along the shoreline where they were dumped.
The cache is hidden in the area where the clay to make the bricks was mined. There's still
plenty of clay in the area, which may become obvious to you by the amount
of it sticking to the bottom of your shoes, especially if the trail is wet!
This cache was originally called
"Brickhouse" . However, we changed it from a multi to a traditional and rehid it to make room for a new cache in the park,
"Puzzlemania" . Even if you've found "Brickhouse", this is a new cache, hidden in a new spot, so please revisit it!
While you're here, you can also look for the other caches hidden in the park:
"Puzzlemania" (Members Only)
