Geocache Description:



This cache is meant as a quick guiding for you that are staying just for a short while, so you will be able to see the main tourist attractions, and to help you choose your desires.
The cache WAS placed right in front of the Tourist Office...but they moved summer 2012, and are now located at Østre Torg in center of Hamar.
Sorry so many caches has been archived, but use the coordinates to see the nice places, and hopefully new caches will show up :)
The lady working inside from 09-1500 knows what's going on.

Domkirkeodden with the Cathedral ruins at Geiteryggen
Skibladner is arriving Hamar at (premium members only) Lexidh #17 - Hamar Skibladnerbrygge at 1045 and 1845 on tusday, thursday and saturdays. At 11.05 and 17.05 on wednesdays and fridays, and at 11.15 and 18.05 on sundays, but during summer only.

Places for recreation and a walk:
Domkirkeodden at Geiteryggen
Start at Koigen at Hamar Waikik, have a nice stroll along Mjøsa passing Ridehuset (multi) and Funkis Riise, and end up at Domkirkeodden at Geiteryggen. Enjoy the area on your walk towards the railway museum at (archived) Dovregubben
For another walk along Mjøsa park at N.60.48.244 - E 011.01.600 and walk towards (archived) Sudden Death
Hamar park at Almost on the Border
Nordsveodden, park at Clean Shit and enjoy the area or walk the path Ottestadstien towards Atlungstad Brænderi.
From here you are also able to walk Ottestadstien the full 15 km in both directions.

Nice views and things to see:
A view and a "private" garden open to the public in Brumunddal at Secret Garden (easy mystery) and then, continue the road for a small walk and a great view at (archived)Feel like an Eagle

Places for recreation and a walk:
In the hight outside Hamar park at Fjellvegen 1 - Gåsbu (parking fee NOK 40) and follow the path to (archived)Tower of Song and (archived)Midnight Mystery
In Løten, park for free at Mosjømarka 1 - Velkommen and take a walk for the 7 caches around the lake Mosjøen
At Ådalsbruk, follow the foosteps of Kristian Lien and the 4 caches "he" left ;-) and also the additional Vardeberget and Real Powercaching
In Stange, walk the 16 kilometers between the railwaystatins of Stange and Tangen following the 14 caches between Stasjonsstien #1 - Vålemyra and Stasjonsstien #14 - Viksdammen

Skiing-areas:
Park at Fjellvegen 1 - Gåsbu (parking fee NOK 40) and walk towards LageråkvislaMålia and St.Olav (mystery)
For a nice and short walk park at Budor and take the ski-lift (NOK 40) to the top where you'll find Budor on top and walk towards Målia
or rent slalomskiis and stay at Budor.
