Geocache Description:

The Charles Bailey trail is being built by Volunteers from the Friends of White Clay Creek, under the leadership if Wendel Cassel. Geocachers WhiteClayLover and MikeOtt are part of the volunteer group.

On 6/9/07 a group of Delaware Geocachers contributed three tough hours of volunteer work to help build the trail further as part of a CITO event. This cache is located very close to the trail segment just built by the geocachers. This cache is a thank you for all their hard work and a chance for other cachers to see their work.

Standing left to right: whereabouts, Cardinal Red, Horn229, MikeOtt, tacklemom, Oicit2 (both Lloyd, Jen, and son), dinobalz, Hart612, mikeylou, wahkegan, (Mrs) dinobalz, and Wendel the trail expert.
Kneeling left to right: Robster06, iJenQ, Evanspack, Runfrog, and programmer64. Plus rflester (Photographer)

No bushwhacking is needed for this cache--please stay on the trail. You can start at the trailhead (45.627 and 45.608) that is up the farm road and across the field to get this cache and other caches farther on the trail. (UPDATE CHARLES BAILEY TRAIL IS NOW COMPLETED) The alternate is to start at the trail head at the end of Yeatmans Station Road. That will take you past a trail section built by last years CITO group, Cougar Perch Rock cache and to the old RR bridge abutment. From there continue on the trail past the brand cache by WhiteClayLover that overlooks the Creek, and on to the cache. Either way you do it, it is a nice loop hike of 1.2 miles.

NOTE: as of 5/2011 there is now a foot bridge across the creak for access to trails on the west side.
