All my new caches are hiking caches. This one isn't too hard. If
you have an ATV you can get to within .25 of a mile. If you hike
from the road (Wasatch State Park/ State Road 220 ) its just over 3
miles to the top. The hike itself isn't too bad, there is one steep
section just before you get to the saddle.
Once you get to the top you have several great views. You can
see down into brighton, over to the backside of Timpanogos, and
down into the Heber Valley. I was very surprised there were no
caches up on this peak. There is one just below Sunset peak
Cheap Sunglasses but not up here.
Last year I placed a cache while we were on a Jeeping
"
Business trip". This year we were celebrating the 10 year
anniversary of our office here in Utah (10/10/08). Several people
went golfing, some when horse-back riding, some mountain biking,
and several of us climbed Pioneer peak.
