Geocache Description:

It seemed that everybody who hikes the Towsley Canyon Loop Trail has left at least one cache behind. We just happened to have a cache with us on our hike, so we dropped it off on our way back from the Towsley Gate cache.

Please be aware that there is now a $5 entrance fee for vehicles. You can easily avoid the fee by parking outside the gate, but be prepared to do some extra walking if you're thrifty.

You can grab this by taking the right fork off the main trail after passing through the Narrows and heading up the overgrown trail toward Towsley Gate (in the interest of avoiding redundancy, we refer you to that cache for detailed directions). If you're coming from the Narrows, stop at the cache, face east, and get a good look at the switchbacks. But don't worry, they're even tougher to climb than they look!

You're looking for a surplus decon container that should pretty much be staring you in the face when you get there. Since the scenic hike is really the reward in and of itself, we kept this one nice and easy for you.

As usual, be alert for ticks, snakes, and other such critters.

Good luck, and Happy Caching!
