Craven Arms Crossroads in Time - Wheels and Weirs Traditional Cache

The history of this area is both fascinating and surprising so I hope you will enjoy the series.   When you find the cache there is a small information sheet inside the lid that will tell you all about the site.

The best place to start all of the walks to these caches is the Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre.  The grid ref and waypoint are attached.  Park up there, have a look around the Centre and sally forth!

GPS coverage should be good here and the hiding place will be in full view!  Beware muggles and be careful not to be seen either removing or replacing the cache.  Make sure you go to the back of the Church where there is a great view of the River Onny and a working water wheel.   Many thanks for the vicar for allowing the cache to be placed on Hallowed ground.  To make a nice round trip follow the road along past the old schoolhouse and then left over a path to the footbridge over the River Onny.  From here there is a permissive footpath that takes you back along the other bank of the river.
