F.T.F. (Alpha) ~ C-bus Traditional Cache

KBLAST: OK - I've prolonged this long enough. As Bigdog and MikeTR90 and maxineknowsbest have discussed in their logs, there have been problems with security coming out and "not wanting people looking around here." I thought it was just an overzealous and overconcerned member of the Spiegel group, but whatever it was, they have decided to get other authorities involved. I went out there with Bigdog421 and Chief_Osceola hoping to draw some attention to ourselves. We actually wandered the guardrail, sat on the guardrail, hung out around the guardrail, and nothing. At 10:00 pm, after waiting about a half hour, the lights were turned off on us. Bigdog and I wandered the property, hoping to see someone who looked important, and I suggested doing donuts in the parking lot to draw attention to ourselves [;)] but nothing.

I finally made the difficult decision that even though this cache has lasted a long time and was the first one of its kind in the area, it is NOT worth fellow geocachers being hounded or questioned or detained or whatever else was happening. I can ignore an isolated incident - I've had things like that happen to me in the past. But if they are SPECIFICALLY targeting people hanging out here and have it labeled, it's a black eye for geocaching if it remains. So, with heavy heart, I bid this one farewell. It ALMOST made it to the end of the guardrail (about 20 finds away from it). Farewell, adieu, adios, and good-bye. Thanks for what you started, Team Get Out. Sorry this one had to end. At least it will live on in OTHER FTF incarnations!!! [:)]
