This is 1 of 3 starting points for the
Mysteries of the Mohave Scavenger hunt. Start at any of the
three START HERE events between 9am-10am. For your convenience, you
should pick the START HERE event that is closest to your home
location or first in line with your direction of travel towards the
heart of the triangles (Kramer's Junction). You'll be assigned the
same set of search areas and mysteries to uncover nomatter which
START HERE event you decide to attend and you may only log an
attendance on one START HERE event. Each party will randomly be
given a place to start near their start events so that there are no
cache mobs out the gate!
There are 6 segments possible to complete. It is not likely
anyone can safely and sanely complete all 6 before the finishing
time at 5 PM. That of course leaves more mysteries for you to
uncover later at your own pace for your own interest in those
oddities you have yet to visit for yourself...
This START HERE event is located by I-15 off Hwy 395 at the
Hesperia Park-N-Ride. The other two START HERE events are at
locations to the north-west near Mojave and to the north-east in
Barstow.
Come on down (or up as it may be) for a free continental
breakfast, to put your name on this log for your first event cache
for the day, and to be assigned your tasks for the rest of the day.
The early birds definitely won't be getting mere worms... :)
Directions and breakfast will start promptly at 9AM and will be
available only until 10AM. After that, if you need the directions
to play, you'll have to read the directions posted online to this
page.
Please look for the main geocache event to the North-West at Red
Rock State Park for the overall picture of what's going on on this
date and for details about the scavenger hunt, important times, and
points, etc.
For those brainiacs who are studying the giant triangles on the
map trying to scheme if it might be advantageous to start at one
point or another that isn't necessarily close to you, we will say
up front, that it is not. Although those starting here may have a
few more miles to travel and a harder time trying to do all
segments in time (which we said you can't do anyways), we have
built in some compensation for this. Trust us, there is no clear
advantage to either starting point. Just pick the one closer to
your home base.
