Higher Ground Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

Thom & Lanette: After paying a visit to the cache site I discovered a caved-in hidey hole where the cache used to be or still is. The rocks are too big to be moved. Also discovered a homemade pot-pipe and a beer can. Obviously this location is no longer secure from muggles. The brittle rock gives me the idea that no matter where I place a container here it stands the chance of being buried at any given time.

For these reasons I am sad to say I must archive this cache. Thanks to all who worked on the puzzle and congratulations to those who found it. I apologize to those who solved the puzzle but didn't get a chance to search.

Geocache Description:

The coordinates listed are NOT correct. Decipher the image to figure out the last three digits of the north and west coordinates. If done in the winter, the difficulty/terrain rating is more like a 5/2.5!

Finding this cache in the spring, summer and fall will require either a non-motorized boat (from the south) or climbing down a very steep hill (from the north). If approached by boat, appropriate footwear will still be required since there is a little climbing involved. The clear Lock-N-Lock container is positioned at 1400' above sea level. The cliffs can be steep and rocks may be loose. If attempted in the winter, make sure the ice is solid and beware of slippery terrain.
