Geocache Description:

We’ve all heard the words uttered from famous athletes after winning championships when asked, “What are you going to do now?” … I’m going to Disneyland! So when we decided to place this series of caches, we asked ourselves, “Where are we going to place them?” … We’re Going To Borderland … State Park that is!

The I’m Going To Borderland Series (or IGTB for short) is, in essence, a 17-stage Disney-themed multi-cache where you actually get 17 smileys when you finish the series. It is divided into 2 smaller series, one named for Disney movie songs (IGTB:The Songs) and one named for Disney movie villain-types (IGTB:The Villains). In each series, there are a number of regular caches that each contain a piece of the coordinates for a series unknown cache. Each of the two series unknown caches contain half of the coordinates for the I’m Going To Borderland (Hey Mickey!) cache.

Zip-a-dee-doo-dah, zip-a-dee-ay
My, oh my what a wonderful day!
Plenty of sunshine heading my way
Zip-a-dee-doo-dah, zip-a-dee-ay

Sung by Uncle Remus in the 1946 live-action and animated film The Song Of The South, this song was also used in the opening theme for the television program Wonderful World Of Disney, and also in the Disney theme parks. Uncle Remus was played by actor James Baskett, who was given an Honorary Academy Award in 1947 for his portrayal, making him the first male performer of African descent to receive an Oscar.

You may find yourself whistling this tune as you walk the trails of Borderland to find the cache. We can’t guarantee plenty of sunshine, but we can guarantee a smiley once you log the find. You are looking for a 6x5 inch lock-n-lock container hidden in a fairly standard manner.

This cache contains one of the letter values needed to determine the coordinates for the IGTB:The Songs – Rumbly In My Tumbly cache.

Congratulations to Kevshiro and Brunpuppies for FTF!!
