The Magic of Huygens
This cache
continues the 'Science can be fun' series of caches
Another cache that's relatively easy to find - but, just
like before, that's not the point...
So you've found the
cache location - now how do you get the redirector information you
need?
This cache has a 3*
difficulty rating, but it's an easy walk with a small amount of
bushwhacking. The rating is to tell you that you'll need to think
about how to get the redirector coordinates once you find it. Just
about all you need is provided at the cache site - just take a pen
and paper - but it's up to you to figure out how and
what...
What you DON'T
need is brute force or any kind of percussive solution! You might
solve it that way - but that would be missing the fun solution. It
takes no effort to retrieve the information once you've figured out
the problem.
Please replace
everything exactly as you found it! In particular please
don't attempt to open the redirector container.
The cache is hidden
in a part of Dick Nichol's Park you may not know, East of Mopac.
Although there are other ways you can get in I highly recommend
using this entrance as, although it starts out unpromisingly, it
eventually leads you through the more attractive areas of this part
of the park. Coordinates for the trail head are:
N30° 12.725 W97° 51.219.
Walk up and along the dam and then follow the well trodden trail
South, down and to the left as you reach the end of the
dam.
Hope you enjoy the
cache!
