Lignumaqua: Yep - it's gone. Must have been somebody who planned to remove it as tools would have been required.
I'm archiving this cache - it's had its time in the sun.

A cache in an unusual container. Easy walk. Special equipment (provided) is needed to retrieve the cache from its hiding place!
Parking coordinates and trail head - N 30° 13.021 W 97° 52.736
The Crook of Magnes This cache continues the 'Science can be fun' theme started with GCQP1KA, 'Archimedes was a Principled Man' and which now also includes GCVAR0, 'Torricelli Almost Blew It' and GCYXP2, 'The Magic of Huygens' . This is another cache that's easy to find - but, just like before, that's not the point... So you've found the cache location - now how do you retrieve it from its hiding spot? Pliny the Elder This cache has a 3* difficulty rating, but it's an easy walk with a small amount of bushwhacking. The rating is to tell you that you'll need to think about how to retrieve the cache from its container once you find it. This time you don't need to take anything with you - everything is provided at the cache site - but it's up to you to figure out how and what... What you DON'T need is brute force or any kind of percussive solution! You might solve it that way - but that would be missing the fun solution. It takes no force to retrieve the cache once you've figured out the problem. Please replace everything exactly as you found it! In particular note that the order of assembly is very important. There's an interesting natural feature nearby at N30° 13.066 W97° 52.719 - take a look but watch your step - NOT recommended in the dark! Hope you enjoy the cache!
