Geocache Description:

This cache is a green ammo box hidden along a section of the Southern New England Trunkline Trail (SNETT) and is about 1 mile roundtrip. There's enough room for ONE VEHICLE to park at N 42 02.138 W 071 37.591 on Aldrich road (Rt. 98) in Uxbridge, MA. This is also where the trail starts.

S.N.E.T.T. Cache Info
The SNETT is great for hiking, jogging, X-country skiing, etc. Motorized vehicles are prohibited, but sometimes frequent the trail, so be on the lookout. The cache is a green ammo box about 50 feet off a side-trail and only minimal bushwacking may be necessary. The cache was hidden with the winter cacher in mind. Check out the old rail ties and even an old telegraph pole on the way to the cache.

Southern New England Trunkline Trail Info
The SNETT is 22 miles long and was acquired in 1984 by the Massachusetts Department of Management and then designated as a National Recreation Trail in 1994. This trail passes through six communities: Douglas, Uxbridge, Millville, Blackstone, Bellingham and Franklin. This trail is formerly known as the New York-New Haven- Hartford Railroad which ceased operation in 1964 and there is an additional 25 miles extending to Willimantic, Connecticut. That section is currently owned and managed by the Conn Department of Environmental Protection. The entire trail is a stone dust path and is presently undeveloped.

Hope you enjoy the hide! Feel free to post pictures and leave Travel Bugs!If you want to go on a longer hike, visit Mustcache's Chocolog Choo-choo Cache which is also along the S.N.E.T.T.
