Walter Burley-Griffin is most well-known for designing Canberra, but he also had a lot of influence in Sydney. He designed the suburb of Castlecrag, and many of the houses in it. The Council has an interesting fact sheet available at http://www.willoughby.nsw.gov.au/fileDownload.asp?id=1462&file=_Upload/files/Fact_Castlecrag.pdf.
The cache is a 3-litre container with a pile of CDs. We all have a CD or two at home that hasn't been listened to for ages... well, bring yours to this cache and share the music! Should be able to fit 10 full-size CDs in the cache, far more if they're in slimline cases or disc envelopes.
Initial contents include an EP from Sydney's best band, Lazy Susan; an EP from The Whitlams, a Triple J Hottest 100 compilation; and a couple of Bangkok specials - CD's in MP3 format with a dozen albums on each, from some well-known bands... if you're a musical cacher, drop in a CD (burnt or commercial) of your music!
The cache is located just off a moderately steep trail that winds all the way from the main road to Middle Harbour, with nice views. There's a playground for GeoKids, too.
Acessible by public transport - catch the 203 bus from Wynyard (city) to the end of the line.
See if you can find a Burley-Griffin original house, or the memorial near the hospital... then play your new CD in the car as you head to my other Burley Griffin cache, The Incinerator.
