Six years ago, the first ever monthly Capital Area Geocaching Event (CAGE) was held on Tuesday June 16, 2009 (GC1RZTG). We did not know whether people would come, but 27 cachers/teams came out and such a good time was had by all that it led to a (almost) monthly event ever since.
You can find us at whichever of the picnic shelters is available when we get there. The event will just be a simple meet and greet where we can get together and hang out. Please feel free to bring TBs or coins to pass along or to be discovered.
New cachers are especially welcome to join us. Please feel free to pick the minds of the seasoned veterans in the area, who are full of great tips and hints on geocaching in general or any geocaches in the area that you might be having trouble with. Please feel free to volunteer if you would like to host a CAGE or have an idea where a good place to hold a CAGE.
We hope to see you all there!
Note: iatsemedic has volunteered to make hot dogs and buns, and we will bring condiments and paper plates, etc., so please bring a snack, side, salad or desert to share if you can. Of course, no one will be turned away, but it would be nice to have some food to go with the hot dogs he has so kindly volunteered to make for everyone!
