The Grandparents' proclivity is to find caches. Our proclivity,
when hiding caches, is to make the find interesting and
challenging. In honor of GR&GG's 1000th find, we have placed
this cache in one of their "favorite" Portland parks.
No puzzle this time. The coordinates you see listed are the
coordinates where you'll find the cache. We didn't want any
addle-pated grandparents, or anyone else. However, the cache is not
in the obvious location....but the obvious location often needs
some trashing out, in spite of the fact there is a trash can
nearby.
Note the terrain rating, although getting within range of the
cache would be a terrain of 1. Even Sassquatch will probably need a
boost. Climbing will probably not be successful, and probably isn't
safe. You won't be able to see the cache until just about the time
you touch it, or maybe just after you touch it. However, you will
be easily seen by the many aliens around.
This will make a good dusk or night cache; the park is open from
5am til midnight
This cache is no longer tupperware; it is camoflaged so that the
local kids who hang out nearby and drink beer will probably not
give it a second glance. In fact, you could say that it matches the
proclivity of another infamous local geocacher... It is clearly
marked as a geocache, so don't trash out too much! To open, just
unscrew the lid. There is not a lot of room inside. There is a
pencil inside, but you might want to bring one just in case.
Please make sure to put the cache back exactly where you found
it so that it remains out of sight.
