Geocache Description:

Geocaching takes me places!

Tis the challenge of treasure that makes me find nature everyday!

You have 175 steps to get to the cache
(Don’t worry 40 of those steps go ‘down’)

You can either park at Llanddulas or old colwyn and take a steady walk along the shared footpath / cycle path.
But then your steady walk will soon be over!

Whichever way you arrive from, you need to look for the first 40 wooden steps.
You then have another 135 stone steps somewhere along the way to the cache

Look out for dog walking muggles & bats at night!
Also expect to see rock climber’s right near the cache, as this is a popular place for climbing.

Don’t worry; you will be walking around the cliff.... not up!

Or you could park on the A547 Abergele road that leads into Old Colwyn?
There is a lay-by next the newly built Cliff Houses... (The site with flags)
This was where the old 70 degrees Hotel stood before getting demolished in 2007.

There is a public walk way right next to buildings that will take you down some steps to reach the cache.
But remember, you still have to go back up those steps to get to your car?.....

There is a railway tunnel that runs through the cliff immediately to the North of what was once the site of the 70 degrees Hotel.
Going down these steps you should be able to spot the vent from the railway tunnel for the old steam trains?

Obviously due to all the steps from either direction, this is not wheelchair friendly.

Good luck!

There is a tiny FTF certificate & Diamond flip flop for the first to find this cache.

Congratulations to scubapingu & Andycop for being FTF in the dark!... You brave soldiers you!
