Geocache Description:

Somerset & Bristol Quarterly Get-Together #3

The Bucket & Spade
Weston-super-Mare

Friday 9th May 2008

19:30 - 23:00

The Bucket and Spade has a beer garden & patio area with jumbrellas & heaters (both redeveloped in 2007), Wheelchair Access, disabled toilet, baby changing facility (in disabled toilet) and an outdoor children's play area (free).

If warm enough we could meet outside. However, we have agreed the use of a small area of the pub just for us Geocachers. Just use your cacher instincts and you'll find us. Anyone and everyone welcome. View location on map.

Topic
I would imagine the usual topics to be discussed are the Commando Challenge and the Flat Holm trip. In addition, I would like to bring to the table the thought of a local CITO event.
Travel Bugs
A volunteer is required for the Travel Bug / Geocoin table. Any takers would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks to the wheelybarrows for volunteering to manage the TB table.
Food
Food is served until 21:30. Two for One on all main meals as per menu.
Kids
For kids there is a Wacky Warehouse until 20:00 with last admission 1 hour before closing. However, supervision is required at all times. Alcohol can be taken inside but has to be within plastic containers requested during ordering.
Dogs
With the exception of Guide Dogs, dogs are not allowed. Sorry FMC.
Location
The location is only 1 mile from J21 of the M5 and the pub has spaces for 80 vehicles. If arriving at Weston from the M5 turn left at the first roundabout (Morrisons) and then take the next left into Yew Tree Drive. The nearest railway station is Worle train station and is only half a mile away.

We also intend to release a new cache on the afternoon of the event. It will be a short offset cache which hopefully wont trouble you too much (hee hee hee). We also have two other caches close by in the form of Road Runner and Dastardly & Mutley in their Flying Machines should you wish to knock a few off before the event.

Hope to see you all there.

That's all folks!!!
