Art Appreciation 101 Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

Olivia Noelle: I hate to do this, but the area has been demolished and totally redesigned. In doing so, the hiding spot, along with any other possible hiding spots, just don't exist in the area. We are laying this one down to rest. Thanks to all who came and visited it!

Geocache Description:

Olivia and I were at the library the other day looking through art books. As we were turning the pages, we were gazing upon pictures both famous and beautiful. Olivia had fun describing what she saw in the pictures to me, sometimes she even had her own made up words, which made it that much more cute.

But then the embarrassing moment hit when she pointed at the picture and said, "Who made this picture?" I was stumped. Upon going to the next picture, she asked the same question and I didn't know that one either.

This month's puzzle is not meant to be difficult. It can be easily solved using an online recognition system. However, this months puzzle is not designed to see how well you can use online software. This months puzzle is your own personal test to see how many of these artists' work you recognize. You may recognize them all, but do you know the artists names? Feel free to write how many names you recognized in your log. I will admit that when I created this puzzle, I only knew 3 of the names, even though I recognized all of the pictures.

You can validate your puzzle solution with certitude.

Guess what movie Olivia just saw?

To candcfamily:
I thought that I would let you know that you were the first person that came to mind when I came up with the ice cream social event idea. I honestly thought to myself, "What about candcfamily? How big is that family? Do I need to list parameters? I guess if they do not get carried away and bring their second cousin, twice removed, then it should be fine." And then I saw your post on the last cache. What have I gotten myself into?
