Geocache Description:

CAUTION!! MULTIPLE RATTLESNAKES SPOTTED NEAR CACHE AND IN AREA! (spring 2006, 2007)

This cache is nestled at the base of the Oquirrh Mountains above the small town of Lake Point. It is under 3 miles from I-80. The last 1/2 mile or so is on a rough dirt road that can usually be traveled in a car, but a truck is better. If too wet or snowy a four wheel drive is recommended. The last few hundred yards or so will be on foot.

This cache was placed for my daughter, Lacey K, when she was 15 months old. I hope she has fun watching it as she grows up.

The area is accessed through a gate about 1/2 mile west of cache. The area is open to the public. The gate is usually open, but if closed, please close it again as you pass through. There are cattle pastured in the area occasionally. This is a beautiful area for a short walk or a picnic. From this area you have a wonderful view of the Stansbury Mountains and the Great Salt Lake.

There is information and very close waypoints in the front of the log for a special surprise for those who venture here. Let me know if you enjoy the surprise.

This cache is very well camouflaged. Good Luck. This cache originally contained 10 numbered gold dollars (hence the name Lacey K's Gold)which I am curious to see where they end up. There are other trinkets for all ages. Let's keep them interesting. Good luck and have fun.

Update: Some folks have been stumped when trying to find Lacey K's Gold, so I have added a hint to help out if you need it. Be aware that the container is in plain site if you are at the exact coordinates. You just may not be aware that you are even looking at a geocache container. Also keep an eye out for rattlesnakes.
