Gryffindor1: The cache is absolutely not on private property according to the Niagara County land parcel map - I made sure of that when I placed the cache... however, if someone perceives the land as being theirs, there's no point trying to fight it - I'm sure they would give cachers a hard time despite the fact they don't own the property, so I am archiving this cache.

It's a shame because it's been there over five years... Thank you to everyone who visited!

Geocache Description:

I worked quite a while trying to get my first cache together. Unfortunately it was just one of those things that wasn’t meant to be. This is my Second Choice for my first cache. It’s pretty ordinary - not as fun and different as I wanted my first cache to be, but I guess all that matters is that I finally got one out!

It is down the “road” from The Inkwell’s RTT Pendleton You can visit one cache right from the other if you are up for a good walk. Or drive around the block and hit one from each side. As with the parking on Feigle, the parking on Mapleton also can accommodate only a couple of cars. The recommended parking on Mapleton is at N43° 07.441/W 078° 45.035

On a mild February day, it is a pleasant walk to the cache, but I foresee it being much more of a challenge once the vegetation starts growing (read: pretty crazy bushwhacking!).

You are looking for a 50 cal. ammo can. Please rehide it as you found it.
