One of a series of caches which can easily be done in a days drive around Loch Ness - total distance of approximately 75 miles. The drive is best done in an anticlockwise direction, using the A82 from Inverness to Fort Augustus and the B862/B852 from Fort Augustus to Inverness - this is the best direction to travel for easy parking. All the caches are a short distance from the available parking, unless otherwise stated.

Fort Augustus village lies at the southwestern end of Loch Ness. Here the Caledonian Canal passes through a series of locks joining Loch Ness to the river Oich. If you would like to know more about Fort Augustus click here.
