Geocache Description:


Welcome to the third annual Iron Horse trail bike ride. This is a nearly 30 mile long ride on a converted train railbed from Snoqualmie pass to Cle Elum.

The trail is hard packed gravel suitable for fat tire bicycles and only looses 600 feet of elevation so it's basically flat. Along the way we will hunt 13 caches.

All are welcome to attend, if you don't feel up to the nearly 30 mile ride you can meet up with us for the post ride event at the Depot Cafe in So. Cle Elum at about 2:30PM. They have graciously agreed to stay open late to accommodate us so please respond with an attending note so that I can give them a good headcount

Ride starts: Saturday, August 5th 8:30AM

Where: Hyak free parking lot at N47° 23.071 W121° 23.390

You may want to team up with other attendees to shuttle bikes between the start and end points. Also there are a couple of early opt-out points. The first is at the south end of Keechelus lake and the other is at Easton (see below).
