One of seven plus bonus in a series "Secrets of Codes" caches commemorating the past history and true leaders of what we know as the “Puzzle”. The Cache is not at the published coordinates, so please don’t go there unless you are really looking for places to visit.

Through the ages we have been the master craftsmen of the world. We were instrumental in the construction of many of the greatest buildings seen throughout Europe. One of our greatest examples is located approx. 80 kilometres southwest of Paris. Construction began in the late 1100’s and lasted 57 years.

The building's exterior is dominated by heavy flying buttresses which allowed the architects to increase the window size significantly, while the west end is dominated by two contrasting spires - one, a 105 meter plain pyramid dating from the 1140s, and the other a 113 meter tall early 16th century spire on top of an older tower. Equally notable are the three great façades, each adorned with hundreds of sculpted figures illustrating key theological themes and narratives.

Since at least the 12th century the cathedral has been an important destination for travellers - and remains so to this day, attracting large numbers of Christian pilgrims, many of whom come to venerate its famous relic, the Sancta Camisa, said to be the tunic worn by the Virgin Mary at Christ's birth, as well as large numbers of secular tourists who come to see this very impressive building.

Having been there, visited and spent several hours wandering around it, taking it all in (Mrs Dragon indulged me at this point) was awe inspiring especially when you consider the tools they had to work with and no sign of computer modeling to ensure that they had got it all right.

There is likely to be very high muggle activity at or nearby to the GZ so please choose your time well.

In each cache in this series is a clue to a bonus Cache Mad Scientist GC33ZJQ Please keep note of these additional clues as you will need them for the Bonus.

The Secrets of Codes Series can be found
