Infamous Travel Bug Prison Michigan Branch Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

evilcacher: Well....It looks like this cache was stolen. It was practically unscrewed from the tree and taken away, not torn from it but unscrewed...so someone cut the lock or another cacher unlocked it and removed it. Oh well. We will look for another location and deploy Infamous Travel Bug Prison Michigan Branch #2 soon. I will be relocating out of the area anyhow very soon, so maybe now is the time to scout the new location closer south to Grand Rapids....hehehe

Geocache Description:

Travel Bugs. They are mean and devious. They are set to take over the world. They want to put all of mankind into travel bug slavery. This is why our caches exist. We garuntee that the travel bugs we capture will never stand on your back, swinging thier little chains, chanting and demanding you to take them to other caches. After rehabilitation, the bugs will be returned to a useful life in civilization to spread the word to other bugs that mankind will not go down without a fight.

I.T.B.P. Michigan Branch

This is the 3rd branch of the original Infamous Travel Bug Prison located in Arkansas. The second branch, the Infamous Travel Bug Prison Oklahoma Branch located in Oklahoma, is still going strong and is in good hands.

The terrain is relativly flat but there are lots of small dead trees and branches that may present a trip hazzard.

The container is a highly modified ammo box with a LOCK. To unlock this lock you will need to use the combination of 4485. Look at the first numbers of the lat and long of this cache. That is where the combination comes from in case you forget. I locked this cache so I could rule out any non geocacher taking it. PLEASE BE SURE TO LOCK THE CONTAINER WHEN YOU LEAVE! This will make sure the remaining bugs stay safe and that no one pilages this container or none of the bugs pull off a daring escape.

The location of this cache is along the beutiful Manistee River. The tranquil sound of the water and the beauty of the surroundings will help mask out the sound of the tourture and starvation the bugs will go through as part of thier rehabilitation. These bugs should not become permanent prisioners during the winter because the road, although seasonal, is highly traveled, although, there might be some prisoner transfers to the other branches at times for strong repeat bug offenders. The location is not far off the main track and can be reached during the snow season with a snowmobile and or on foot. Parking is close by and convienent. There is even a public access spot near by if you like to boat or fish the river.
