Deutsche Beschreibung
Dieser Cache wurde anläßlich des Klenkes 2005 Events plaziert. Er
führt Dich zum Dreiländer-Eck zwischen Belgien, den Niederlanden
und Deutschland. Früher lag hier ganz in der Nähe schon mal ein
Cache, der den höchsten Punkt der Niederlande markierte. Dieser ist
aber inzwischen archiviert.
Drei Länder stoßen in einem einzigen Punkt zusammen - eine
interessante geographische Konstellation. Deutschland hat insgesamt
7 Drei-Länder-Ecken, Belgien derer 3, während die Niederlande genau
einen solchen Punkt hat, wo sie mit zwei weiteren Staaten eine
gemeinsame Grenze hat. Dank der EU können wir uns heute völlig
ungezwungen und frei über diese Grenzen bewegen. Wie man von früher
und von manch anderen Grenzen weiss, ist das keineswegs
selbstverständlich!
Geschichtlich interessant ist auch, dass der heutige
Dreiländerpunkt von 1815 bis 1919 sogar ein Vier-Länder-Punkt war.
Damals stiess hier auch noch die Mini-Nation "Neutral-Moresnet"
(heute zu B gehörig) mit den Staaten B, NL und D zusammen.
Entstanden war der Mini-Staat, weil sich Preussen und die
Niederlande nicht über die Aufteilung der Galmei-Schürfrechte in
dem ca. 270ha grossen Gebiet einigen konnten...
So, nun zum Cache:
Parken kann man ganz in der Nähe der obigen Koordinaten, in
Belgien ist es (entlang der Strasse) im Gegensatz zur Niederlande
und P3 kostenlos. Insgesamt mußt Du 4 Hinweise mit jeweils
einer Ziffer im Bereich 0 bis 9 finden. Bis auf eine Ausnahme sind
alle Hinweise in der Form GC n, wobei n die
einstellige Ziffer ist. Keiner der Hinweise befindet sich direkt am
Boden - das erspart Euch auffälliges Graben. Kein Hinweis muss
von seiner Position entfernt werden.
Die ersten zwei Hinweise sind in direkter Umgebung um den
Dreiländerpunkt und von diesem nicht allzuweit entfernt.
- Ziffer A findet man in ungefähr halb Deutschland.
- Ziffer B liegt in Belgien, ist aber sehr grenzwertig und hätte
vor 150 Jahren in Neutral-Moresnet gelegen.
- Ziffer C ging früher mal auf den
deutsch-niederländischen Strich. Es gilt, ganz klar, C=A-D-2*F
- Findet die drei höchsten Brüder. Einer davon verrät Euch No.
F.
- E=C, damit Ihr nicht soviele grauen Haare bekommt. (Wer etwas
Ehrgeiz hat: Man kann den Cache offensichtlich auch ohne E
finden...)
- N50°45.211' E006°01.273'. Die Ziffer D. Hier.
Geht nun nach N50°44.ABC' und E006°01.DEF' zum Cache. Folgt
dabei am besten dem kleinen Grenz-Pfad. Den entscheidenden Hinweis
zum Cache findet Ihr ebenfalls an dem gegebenen Punkt, und zwar am
selben .... aber in einem anderen ....! (Zwei Worte am Cache.)
Achtet bitte auf Muggles! Bitte den Behälter nur auf die
vorgesehene Weise OHNE Werkzeug öffnen! Das ist wirklich nicht
sooo schwer...
Anschließend geht dann einfach den Pfad bis zu einer Kreuzung
weiter, von der ein Weg direkt zurück zum Dreiländerpunkt
führt.
Hinweis zum Schluss: Auch am Cache besteht Muggle-Gefahr,
daher bitte entsprechend umsichtig handeln! Bitte wieder alles
gut tarnen! Wenn Ihr tauscht, dann bitte nur Gleich- oder
Höherwertiges. Die Box ist allerdings nicht besonders groß. Danke

English Description
This cache was placed for the Klenkes 2005 event. It will lead you
to the border triangle between Belgium, The Netherlands and
Germany. Close by, there once was another cache dedicated to the
highest point of the Netherlands. Unfortunately, it was archived
after it got muggled.
Three countries meet in one point - a quite rare geographic
constellation. Germany, for example, has 7 such triangles, Belgium
has only 3 and The Netherlands just 1. These days we can enjoy the
area without frontiers. Thanks to the EU, we can freely move to and
fro those borders. As we all know from the past or from other
borders, this is is quite extraordinary.
It is of some historic interest that this 3-state point once had
even been a 4-state point. From 1815 until 1919, not only
Prussia/Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands met here but also the
micro-state of "Neutral-Moresnet". This little country (comprising
only about 270 ha) was created after The Netherlands and Prussia
fought over mining rights in the area, a conflict which they could
not resolve otherwise.
Ok, let's get to the cache:
You can park near the above coordinates, not for free in the
Netherlands and on P3 in Belgium, but for free along the road
downwards. You have to find 4 clues in total, each
containing a single digit in the range from 0 to 9. With one
exception, all clues are of the form GC n, with n
being a single digit number. None of the clues is directly hidden
at the ground - so you don't need to do any obvious digging. No
clue needs to be moved from its position!
The first two clues are in direct vicinity of the border
triangle point and not too far from it.
- Digit A can be found in about half of Germany.
- Digit B is located in Belgium, very marginally, and would have
been in Neutral-Moresnet 150 years ago.
- Digit C used to follow a different line, with the
Netherlands, or was it Germany? However, C=A-D-2*F.
- Find the band of the three highest brothers. One will tell you
No. F.
- E=C, so that you do not have to scratch you head too much. But,
obviously, the cache can be found without E. You may give it a
try)
- N50°45.211' E006°01.273'. Digit D here.
Off you go to the cache at N50°44.ABC' und E006°01.DEF'. It is
best to follow the borderline path. The final clue to the cache can
also be found at the given point, at the same .... but in another
.....! (Two words on the cache.) Please beware of muggles!
Please open the cache box only in the intended way WITHOUT
making use of a tool! It's really not that difficult...
Afterwards, just continue along the trail until you reach a
junction with a path leading directly back towards the triangle
point.
Final Remark: Also at the cache location you need to use
caution due to muggles! Please make sure, everything is well
hidden again when you leave! Please trade fair: Trade up, trade
