This cache is another in our Fear This: Phobia series of caches. Cynophobia, like all phobias, is the irrational and extreme fear of something, in this case dogs. Who doesn't like dogs? They're man's best friend, right? And yet, many people live in sheer terror of them. Growling, snarling beasts with massive jaws and gleaming yellow eyes, hackles raised as they wait for some flinch of weakness to attack. Cujo. The bane of postmen worldwide. This cache will bring you face to face with your fear. Be warned: you will see dogs. Quite possibly lots of them. All running loose and unrestrained. You may want to bring one of those little plastic bags to clean up after yourself.
Enter Ft Steilacoom Park from 87th Ave SW and drive west to the parking lot behind the barns. The thing you fear will quickly become apparent. The park is open during daylight hours. The difficulty of this cache is only a five if you are cynophobic. If you're not, it's more like 1.5 stars.
