Geocache Description:

This event is part of the World Wide Flash Mob Event #3.

This event lasts for only 15 minutes and you must be present and sign a lot sheet during that time to log this event!  You will need to bring your own pen in order to log this event!  This is one event where showing up "casually late" may mean missing the event!  Attending other nearby and convenient events AFTER this event does NOT qualify you to log this event.  DON'T BE LATE!!

Important details --
  • This event is part of the World Wide Flash Mob Event #3.
  • This event will begin precisely at 12 noon on Saturday, May 10, 2008 at the listed coordinates.  It is important that you do not arrive at the coordinates early.  
  • FamilyInFilm's cache bag being placed on the ground will be the signal of the start of the event.  No one should be at the coordinates before this moment.
  • Prior to the start time, cachers should be milling about some safe distance from the location so that it does not call attention to what we are doing.  I know it will be hard, but try to look like a muggle.  At the signal from FamilyInFilm at noon, cachers should rush to the coordinates!  There you will need to take a  log sheet from CodeMission.  Fill out the information for you or your cache group and then return it to CodeMission's log reciptacle.  All log sheets should be turned in by 12:08 PM.
  • After turning in your log sheet, see GirlinFilm for your official "event meal".  On the menu for the day is a small piece of chocolate!  Yum -- worth driving hours for!  Meals should be savored and devoured by 12:08 PM (unless you like the look of chocolate on your teeth when we take the group picture).  Also, don't forget to CITO any wrappers from your meal.
  • At 12:08, arrange yourselves in front of the nearby object facing south.  If you're tall, get in the back, if you are short, stand in front.  If you are somewhere in the middle, either get in the middle or kneel/sit in front.  Please memorize this piece of information so that I don't have to yell it at the event.  I don't own a bullhorn.  Thank you..
  • At 12:11, gather around FamilyInFilm and the bucket for a prize drawing.  The first name drawn will receive the one and only physical prize for this event.  The second name drawn will get to claim FTF honors for this event.  There will be only two names drawn.
  • At 12:13, finalize any post event activities that you may have with fellow cachers.  Might I suggest The Lower Alabama Meet and Greet ?
  • IMMEDIATELY at 12:15, disperse in odd directions.  I know that there is an event cache to the southeast, but please, make an effort to look like we are leaving in all sorts of different directions.

Public Relations - volunteer neeced (I don't think there will be many curious muggles at this particular spot, but it might be nice to have someone with brochures just in case.  Extras could be used by cachers when questioned by muggles on the trails or in the parking lots.)

Be sure that you add this cache to your watchlist so that you can be notified of any changes that may take place between now and the actual event.  In the event of an electrical storm, this cache will not take place at the listed coordinates.  FamilyInFilm attracts lightning and you do not want to be standing next to her when it strikes.
