POWER BIKE TRAIL - #14 - Toca
Com o objectivo de proporcionar momentos divertidos de Geocaching e de contacto directo com a natureza, esta Power Trail leva-nos a percorrer a Levada da Serra do Faial, um percurso de terra batida desde a Choupana até aos Lamaceiros (Portela).
With the aim of providing fun times Geocaching and a direct contact with nature, this PowerTrail leads us to the Levada da Serra do Faial, a dirt path from Choupana to Lamaceiros (Portela).
O caminho é em grande parte plano e largo, convidando-nos a um agradável passeio de Bicicleta (BTT) com cerca de 27km. Maioritariamente o percurso é realizado em terra batida, à excepção de uma pequena secção com cerca de 5km, no Sítio do Ribeiro Serrão, em que alcançamos o alcatrão e assim andamos até ser possível localizar novamente a levada e voltar à terra.
The path is mostly flat and wide, inviting us to a pleasant Mountain Bike (MTB) ride with about 27km. Mostly the route is done on dirt, except for a small section of about 5km, in Ribeiro Serrão, where we find tarmac and so we walk till we find the levada again and we are brought back to the dirt path.
As paisagens variam ao longo do percurso desde áreas de floresta invasora, à vida rural da população da Camacha e algumas zonas de floresta endémica, onde se sentirá em perfeita harmonia com a Natureza.
The landscapes vary along the route from invasive forest areas, the rural life of the population of Camacha and some endemic areas of forest where you will feel in perfect harmony with nature.
