Geocache Description:

Decon container on a nice mostly paved trail.

This cache is placed on the New Years trail branch leading to the beach. From the cache it's only a few hundred feet to view the Giant Elephant Seals up close. PLEASE!!! Be aware of the warning sign, that states your are to stay at least 25 feet way from any of the seals.

If you start at Secret Trail Head: Cove Beach you can take the mostly paved path all the way to the cache. Only the last 50 feet or so is on dirt. When you cross over the bridge, look at the beach to see if there are any Seals present.
When we placed this cache, we spotted an Elephant Seal sunning itself on the beach.
