This remote cache is on Pt. Hayes at the north entrance to Peril Strait. Access to this area is by watercraft only. The cache is located on high ground at the end of a double beach. The beaches are mostly sand with a rocky top, which allows access from two directions. At high tide the high ground becomes an island.
The cache was placed during a kayak trip circumnavigating Admiralty Island. This location was selected as a "high" traffic area thats accessable for skiffs. Please note the higher tides will sweep over the beach, although during flat conditions it may be possible to come ashore in the area.
The cache is in a small jar inside a white plastic bottle. FTF will select from a Sacagawea dollar coin, 5 Cents Euro, classic Alaska Sea Food Marketing pin and a way cool spotted marble.
