The Bracknell Ramble was a 14-waypoint mystery/multi which
followed The Ramblers Route, a 26 mile/42km circular walking trail
through the countryside around Bracknell. The walk follows
footpaths, bridleways and tracks through varied scenery. Sadly the
cache was archived in February 2008. The Bracknell Ramble
Remembered is a short series of three caches using some of the
original waypoints of The Bracknell Ramble in remembrance of
our favourite hide.
This short mystery, which should take less than half an hour to
complete, incorporates the start and finish of the original cache.
Those who did The Bracknell Ramble and who have either good
records or good memories will know exactly where this cache is and
could go straight there. A word of caution, however: the
letter-number translations used on this series are not necessarily
the same as on the original cache.
Your starting point is the beautiful 11thC church of St Michael the
Archangel, Warfield. The coordinates will take you to ample free
parking in front of the cemetery. Please don't park in the church
car park even if it's open, as it's usually locked except during
services and you may find yourself locked in. For obvious reasons,
parking may be a problem on Sundays.

To start the hunt you'll need to explore the exterior of the
church and find the image on the left. Within a few metres, on the
same wall, you'll find a plaque dedicated to a local worthy.

The number of letters in line 7 word 4 = C
The number of letters in line 3 word 1 = D
The number of letters in line 3 word 2 = E
The number of letters in line 4 word 3 = F
The number of letters in line 7 word 2 = G
The number of letters in line 3 word 3 = H
The last line has a date in Latin. Convert the date to YYYY. The
3rd digit = J.
