To defend against the inevitable oncoming horde, I call upon all of
the dedicated men and women of Otis, living and dead, who have
served or are serving in any of the branches of armed forces. May
we protect this pure land from the impure hands of any foreigner
who may wish to claim a part of it as their own. From this point we
can see all who enter our beloved town from the north on Rt.8 or
from the west on Rt.23. I urge you to hold firm and stand fast,
never wavering. I have recently released some military forces for
the purpose of patrol and reconnaissance near the NY border.
