Welcome to Sydney's first Whereigo Cache.
In this Whereigo adventure you will need to capture Ned Kelly and
recover the stolen treasure chest. This Whereigo will take you
along an old bush track until you complete the adventure.
This is my first attempt at a Whereigo Cache so I hope you enjoy
it. It's fairly simple and a good introduction to your first
Wherigo experience. There is very heavy tree coverage in this
area so you will need to be patient with your GPS. You will
need to make your way as close as possible to each stage and let
your GPS settle down.
Parking is available 30M SE of the start. Please do not block the
gate.If the near by creek is flooded you should come back another
time. Although it rarely floods safety is a priority.
After you complete the program you will get an unlock code. To log
this as a find you must unlock it and log it on the Wherigo
website. You will also need to sign the log in the physical
Geocache to count it as a find. Make sure you put the cache back
exactly as you found it so that it is out of sight.
To take part in this adventure you will need a Garmin Colorado, a
Garmin Oregon or a GPS enabled PocketPC with a Wherigo Player. You
can go to the Wherigo site to download the cartrige or click here:

I would appreciate any feedback you might have. If you run into any
problems please contact me from my profile page.
As I live overseas 70% of the time a few others will be performing
maintenance when I'm not available. Email me if you have any
problems with the cache. I check emails daily. You can also contact
a ruffasgutts4x4 directly.
A few notes about the Wherigo.
This is a very basic, straight forward Wherigo cache. I could have
created a Wherigo with many variables and if you pick the wrong
path or option you have to restart from the beginning hours later.
I wanted to make this Wherigo as simple as possible and not
discourage people in getting their first Wherigo find. The biggest
challenge you WILL have is getting good GPS coverage.(That's why I
made it a 3 difficulty) If your GPS isn't in the right zone some
characters will not appear until you are. You may just need to be
patient and wait for a good satellite lock for things to change.
Good luck. If you have any questions send me a message.

December 29, 2009 by Code1 (1500 found) After getting sorted at the parking spot I was soon Hot on the heels of Ned. After locating some eyewitnesses and gathering the info along the way, I was soon at the end of the journey. Ned got away but the treasure was located. Enjoyed the stroll in the bush.Being the second WIG I've attempted, and completed, I am now more confident in the workings of them and didn't screw up on this one at all. Might have a go at building a cartridge myself now. Well done and thanks for putting it together.

December 12, 2009 by TEAM CASHO (1109 found) We made the trip back this way to do this one as we knew that rogpol didnt have the equipment to complete this one. Hope the early moring SMS was not too early(6.45am). It must not have been as Roger was soon on the side of the road ready for the search for Ned Kelly.Found on a cache hunt trip leading to the big 1000th find tomorrow at the Christmas Event (#996 getting very close now and starting to think and feel like the little engine that could, I think I can!). We would like to thank all our fellow cachers for the experiances we have had over the past year and for their time and effort within the sport / game. We are now planing for the Oz Wagga Wagga Mega Event (April 2-5, 2010) GC1Y5R. It looks like they have recently hit the MEGA requirements, and we can’t wait to be part of it. Merry Christmas Happy and safe caching. Stop Revive (or is that Cache) and Survive Team Casho P.S. We did it. As this was not logged untill the 13th we can now say that we hit out target with our 1000th find being logged coinsiding with the event yesterday. Thanks to all who have been part of our adventures.
