Gimpy Grandma has been known to go fishing around here. She has enjoyed the geocaching she's done, but she hasn't done much of it because oftentimes the walk is too long and/or the terrain is too uneven. So here's a cache in her neck of the woods that's very close to parking and it's easy to get to. Side note: The last I knew, a special permit from city hall is required for permission to fish here. This area is now part of the South Peabody Trail.
18-Sep-2017: Replaced the cache in a new spot and with a different type of container. It's on a nice, wide, paved trail. Depending on which way you approach it, you might walk over a small bridge. Do be sure to watch children, as there is water on both sides of this section of the trail. You'll need to bring your own pen. The cache can fit a few small trades. It should be fairly easy to find, but grabbing it might be difficult if there are other people around, so please be mindful of muggles when searching and rehiding.
Adding a second set of parking coordinates for parking inside Cedar Grove Cemetery which is located at the end of Cedar Grove Ave. The posted hours that the cemetery is open are 6 AM to 8 PM.
Trackables: If you find and take a trackable (travel bug, geocoin), please remember to log the trackable at least two times - first when you take it from a cache, and then again when you place it in another cache. See this page if you need help.
Congrats to Tweedledum & Tweedledee on being first to find!
Also congrats to yukionna and zugbug for quick, same-day co-second to find!
