Why:
To celebrate the 12th day of the 12th month of the 12th year of this century.
The numbers have aligned again! This event is part of a global multi-event occurring on the same day all around the world where geocachers will be celebrating this alignment. Come join with your geocaching friends as we celebrate this special date.
The event is free and open to all.
There will be new caches releasing that day!

White Elephant Gift Swap | Here's how it works:
1. PARTICIPATION IN THE SWAP IS ENTIRELY OPTIONAL!
2. Please bring one, RE-GIFTED item for exchange. We are looking for the white elephants here. That strange and wonderful, or ugly, or ill-fitting item that you received as a gift and have no idea what to do with.
3. You will get a ticket for the gift you bring (Only one gift per person, please).
4. The first ticket will be drawn and that person gets to pick a gift from all the choices. They will open it and show it off while everybody goes "Ohhhhh," and "Ahhhhh..."
5. The next ticket is drawn, and that person has the choice of "stealing" the first gift or taking a new one from the pile. If the second person "steals" the first gift, then the first person gets to pick a new one from the pile.
6. The will continue for each successive ticket drawn. Each person has the choice of "stealing" somebody else's gift, or taking a new one from the pile.
7. ONCE A GIFT HAS BEEN "STOLEN" THREE TIMES, IT'S FROZEN AND THAT PERSON GETS TO KEEP IT! In the end, everybody who brought a gift will go home with a gift.
